Can we talk about this?! I loved The Excessive...Ostentatious... Wistful...Glorified Gatsby

The style, the charisma, and charm The Great Gatsby possessed will live on in our hearts....

The apparel in this film was just as mesmerizing as the plot...

Daisy's headscarf...As a fan of the headscarf since 2004..Daisy looked beautiful in this scene (and every scene)...

"...that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool."

A headscarf can change the whole appearance of an outfit... print on print is fabulous when done in moderation as Daisy demonstrates with her floral apparel print...
The scarf draws attention to the face and adds interest to one's hair ...

"Gatsby…he had an extraordinary sense of hope"

I have also always had a passion for nudes, and clear embellishments...the combination are so feminine and alluring...
Prada executes perfectly-

"He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God."

This scene is gasp-worthy... as a fan of white... and clean lines... and feminine drape... this scene of decor.. and wardrobing was breathtaking...

A gentleman in a fine tailored suit is the way to my heart....

"The way he looked at her was the way all girls want to be ..."

Literally from head-to-toe....a wild appeal of uproarious celebration in abundance and extravagance in sex appeal...
"those gleaming, dazzling parties of his"

In love with the elaborate celebratory extravagance  ....

Nick:  "They're a rotten crowd....You're worth the whole damn bunch put together"

The Tea Party... I love the shoulder detailing on this dress... its femininity evokes a beautiful charm and I am ABSOLUTELY DROPPING DEAD for these lace gloves...

The chic neutral colors in day-wear were modest and beautiful...

"It makes me sad because I've never seen such - such beautiful shirts before."

Fitzgerald makes many of us to want to go back to this age... and Baz Luhrmann celebrated it with
brilliance..taking Gaty's words to hear "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can."...I wish it were the 1920's once again "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
