Happy Birthday Edith!

Today Edith Head, legendary costume designer turns 116.

Time however does not fade Edith's influence.

Can we just take a moment, not just in memory but in awe...

Edith was famous for her costume designs.  She dressed celebrities for over 50 years.

“What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not. We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen, he’s become a different person.”

She worked with Hollywood exquisites, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor...just to name a few.

....an extensive list of Academy Award Wins, this Madame brought elegance and legendariness to the screen with flair.

Edith is such an inspiration, to me as I have an equal undying love for the entertainment industry and the fashion industry.  By pulling those two ends together, Edith made historical marks with style.

One of my favorite bosses always said "Dress for the job you want not the job you have"

This practice does more than you realize, dressing with confidence can help you become your own character day to day.  

If you want to be assertive, don that red lip stick, and work it.

 

Don't ever "play-down" the dressing factor, sometimes what, you wear and how you wear it, is everything.
