Layering Game
Layering has become an art-form for me since I somehow transform from a shivering toddler to a sweating 65 year old bird in the matter of a few hours
Perhaps it's the depths I travel into the subway stations, the abundance of people and tourists treading off at the same time or the sheer fact that the temperature fluctuates 30 degrees daily and there is no happy medium
I'm partial to the vintage flannels I found at the back of my mother's closet (and even my father's)....
I am strategic in this manner....
An oversized flannel with perhaps a tee or tank underneath;
A sleeveless vest;
An oversized or roomy jacket, a biker jacket will allow this layering process to succeed with the comfortable ability to still move your arms...
A fitter trouser will maintain your feminine figure without looking like you're wearing-everything-you-own, in excess
A nice mule or loafer also creates a slimming effect, with slight skin exposure of ankle region, helping maintain a cleaner look
